Note: We conform to the colour profiles from ECI as far as these are available for the various classes of paper. In practice it has been proven that very high quality can be achieved by using these profiles that are based on ISO standard 12647-2. Therefore, these profiles should be used for making colour proofs and for colour conversion from RGB to CMYK (relative colorimetric rendering is recommended). A paper tint simulation has been included in the colour profiles. There may be considerable differences in paper tints in one paper class, particularly with LWC papers, however, and these can also show a different nuance in different proof systems.

The use of colour profiles does not guarantee that your proof will be exactly the same as our print result. It is therefore necessary to arrange to check and adjust the proof with us. (See the Guidelines for data and proof). It is also necessary that you place on every proof a FOGRA MediaWedge 3.0 / FOGRA Medienkeil 3.0 (www.fogra.org/mediawedge/index.html)
and an overprint check strip: pdf-overprint-expert.eps (www.globalgraphics.com) or OverPrintCheck.pdf (see page test designs) .

The downloads contain an ICC profile and a GMG profile. The ICC profiles should be used for the production of colour proofs and for colour conversions from RGB to CMYK. (we recommened to use relative colorimetric rendering). The GMG profiles can be used to produce proofs with GMG Colorproof on Epson 4800, 7800 and 9800 and 4880-788-7900-9880. Furthermore, on request, it is possible to supply data and proofs based on the PSR Standard (Process Standard Gravure). The PSR profiles from ECI can be downloaded from the ECI website (www.eci.org)
