By ‘pre-press’ we mean the process that precedes printing. This includes layout, scan work and lithography.
Roto Smeets has pre-press specialists at a number of locations. They make use of state-of-the-art techniques to bring your data and proofs in line with the chosen printing process. Their challenge is to do this in the best possible way.
These locations have their own daily courier service. For example, Roto Smeets in Utrecht offers 24-hour pre-press services, combined with free daily courier services to the Amsterdam-Hilversum-Utrecht triangle. That delivers extra convenience and efficiency to you.

• Professional image retouching and ICC colour management
• Design and layout
• Digital proofs and remote proofs

We offer a number of different ways to send your data (page layouts, advertisements, images and text) to our production facilities – quickly, safely and error-free:
• On-line submission via our web site (an enhanced form of FTP submission)
• Data transmission via our own Rototrax broadband network
• More “traditional” transmission methods, such as ISDN and “standard” FTP
• Remote submission via a digital proof system (remote digital proofing)
